Ode to the Coconut
Oh, coconut, you tropical delight, Your sturdy shell and milky white, A gift from nature, pure and sweet, A refreshing and delicious treat.
From swaying palms on sandy shores, Your bounty to the world implores. A taste of paradise, a taste of home, You're loved by all, where'er you roam.
Whether sipped from a fresh-cut husk, Or grated in a savory dish, Your versatility knows no bounds, In every form, your goodness surrounds.
From curries to cocktails, cakes to pies, Your flavor tantalizes and satisfies. And when the heat of summer comes, A coconut ice cream bar never succumbs.
Oh, coconut, you tropical delight, You fill our hearts with pure delight. So let us raise a glass to you, A toast to all the good you do.
Coconut
By Paul Hostovsky
Coconut, A tropical delight, A gift from nature, A taste of paradise.
Your sturdy shell, Your milky white, Your sweet and refreshing water, Your delicious flesh.
You're a staple in tropical cuisine, A versatile ingredient, Used in everything from curries to desserts.
You're also a symbol of summer, Of relaxation and vacation.
Oh, coconut, We love you so.
Thank you for being a part of our lives.
